PrivacyThe short, honest version

We only collect what we need to run events, we never sell or share it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime.

What we collect

  • Forms (an idea, a space, helping out, listing your event): whatever you type in, including your name and phone or email if you give them, and any photo you add.
  • "I'm going": how many of you are coming, and your name if you add it. The waitlist also asks for a phone or email so we can let you know if a spot opens up. Your browser keeps a random code so you can change or cancel later. We only store a scrambled copy of that code and of your internet connection's address, so one person can't take every spot.
  • Notifications: if you turn them on, your phone or browser gives us an anonymous address to send them to. No name, no email.
  • Visits: we may count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't tell us who you are. The site itself doesn't use cookies; it just remembers small things in your own browser, like which headline you last saw.
  • Your AI assistant: if your AI sends us an RSVP, an idea or an event for you, we get the same details as the matching form.

Who sees it

Only the Kindling Kits organisers. Form messages go to our Kindling Kits email inbox and into our private notes, and we use them only to plan events and get back to you. Names are never shown on the site; it only shows how many people are going.

We use an AI assistant (Claude, made by Anthropic) to help sort messages and keep track of RSVPs. It works for the organisers and follows these same rules.

We never sell your details, never share them outside the organisers, and never add you to a mailing list.

Services we use

The site and RSVP lists are hosted by Vercel. Our inbox, calendar and files are on Kindling Kits' own Google account, and the site's fonts load from Google Fonts. Organisers chat on Telegram. Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. We never ask for or touch your Google account.

How long we keep it

Event details (RSVPs, waitlists, help offers) are kept only as long as we need them for that event. Ideas, space offers and listings are kept while they're useful for planning. Anything you ask us to delete, we delete.

Your choices

  • Cancel your "I'm going" or leave the waitlist anytime from the event.
  • Turn notifications off with the bell.
  • To see, fix or delete anything we have about you, email kitsilanokindling@gmail.com, message us in our Telegram group, or tell any Kindling Kits organiser.

If anything here changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
